Book Review: Hope by Niall Harbison

This is a story of a lost soul drowning in addiction and depression who finds hope and redemption in the street dogs of Thailand.  Follow Niall's journey from normal kid to junkie facing death in the ICU - and the dogs who gave his life meaning and purpose - and strength to leave the drugs, alcohol and darkness behind.  This book made me laugh, cry, and at times made me angry at the cruelty and unfairness of life -  and it made me want to find my own deeper purpose in life.  While not a book about homesteading, herbs, gardening or witchcraft, it is a book about heart and soul - which is what drives us all.  If you love dogs, or animals of any sort, I recommend both of Niall's books.

You can purchase the book, Hope, here with my Amazon affiliate link.   Niall's second book, Tina, about the dog who changed his life and the lives of thousands of dogs in Thailand can also be purchased from my Amazon affiliate link here.  Another tear-jerker with a happy ending.

Author's Note:
Wild Blackberry Apothecary is the dream of a one-woman homesteader in the middle of Middle Tennessee, USA. I currently work full time and homestead part time with 4 dogs, 12-30 chickens, several domestic blackberry and raspberry plants - and thousands of wild blackberry vines that are trying ot take over every inch that they can. My husband of 30+ years does not homestead, but indulges me. As we look towards our retirement years, we hope to further develop our property and perhaps add more rescue dogs, more blackberries and trees, and have me move to homesteading full time.
